Our Mission
The mission of the Supplier Support Division is to support the Supplier Operations organizations within the Subsistence Supply Chain. The Supplier Support Division provides streamline management of both Subsistence Quality Audit Programs and a master strategy for the integration of the Subsistence Standardization Program to manages all subsistence technical and quality documents cited in contracts and /or that available electronically to all DSCP customers and Government organizations. Our primary focus is our military customers' quality and technical requirements. We respond by: Auditing operational rations facilities and verifying compliance and effectiveness of quality systems implemented to ensure they are capable of consistently producing safe and quality rations and the logistical infrastructures that support them; we ensure that commercial products offered to the Government by Prime Vendors are of the best quality and price as those available in the marketplace; and we ensure technical and quality documents are adequate for each procurement and that they reflect current requirements. Modern battlefield requirements demand subsistence support that adequately provides for the needs of our military personnel in extremely intense and highly mobile combat situations that can be easily adapted to the civilian sector for humanitarian feeding in case of natural and/or man-made disasters. In performing these functions, we form and support other members of the DSCP Acquisition Team by providing reliable and timely auditing results and recommendations so that DSCP can supply our present and future customers timely and quality safe products at an affordable cost. We are also responsible for the Subsistence-wide, Value Management Program, Standardization Programs, Food Defense/Force Protection Program, Packaging, Test and Evaluation Program, and internal/external training programs in the area of Pest Management, ISO 9000 Quality Systems Auditing, Food Defense/Security, and Food Safety, etc. The Supplier Support division is also responsible for managing a variety of programs to include the Annual Business Plan, monthly Performance Management Reviews, Internal Controls, Procurement Management Review, and other programs that cross all organizations with the Supply Chain. Also coordinates Financial and Research and Analysis objectives within the Supply Chain.
