Brigadier General Scott D. Chambers is the Commander of the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Defense Logistics Agency. DSCP annually buys over $14.5 billion worth of food, clothing, textiles, medicines, medical supplies, construction and equipment items for America's warfighters and other customers worldwide. This position is Brigadier General Chambers' fifth command tour over his 25-year career.
Prior to assuming command at DSCP, Brigadier General Chambers served as Chief of Staff, Defense Logistics Agency, Fort Belvoir, Va. In this capacity, he directly supported the Director in executing the logistics and acquisition mission of DLA. Prior to that assignment, Brigadier General Chambers served as the Associate Director, Resource Integration, Deputy Chief of Staff for Installations, Logistics and Mission Support, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington D.C.
Brigadier General Chambers entered the Air Force in 1984 through Officer Training School. He has served in a variety of logistics positions at the squadron, wing, center, major command, HQ Air Force levels and on the Joint Staff.

Brigadier General Chambers graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from California State University, Northridge. In 1990, he completed his Master of Science degree in public administration from Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant. In 2008, Brigadier General Chambers completed the Business Acumen Program, University of Michigan. His military education includes Squadron Officer School, Air Command and Staff College, Air War College, Air Force Fellows Program, RAND Corporation, Air Force Senior Leadership Course, Center for Creative Leadership, Gettysburg College and the Air Force Senior Leaders Orientation Course.
Brigadier General Chambers' awards and decorations include Legion of Merit with oak leaf cluster, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster, Air Force Achievement Medal with oak leaf cluster, Air Force Organizational Excellence Award with two oak leaf clusters, National Defense Service Medal with bronze star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal and Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.
Brigadier General Chambers is a member of the Air Force Association, the Logistics Officer Association, the National Defense Transportation Association and the National Petroleum Management Association.
